Have owned the new rig for almost 2 weeks but have not had time to take it out in 4x4 mode. Today's trip was west from Colorado Springs, over Wilkerson pass and then off the pavement. Went north to La Salle Pass which is just NE of Wikerson Pass. Then took the rugged (4WD Low) road to the top of Badger Mountain. Back down to La Salle Pass and then drove NE and back E to the Tarryall Road and into Tarryall.
After that we took CR 211 east from the Tarryall Road and into the Hayman Burn area. A nice leisurely lunch at the side of the road with our Subway sub and lawn chairs was great as the views to the south were just incredible. After that we stopped at the south end of the Lost Creek Wilderness at the Goose Creek Trailhead for a bit. I plan to explore this on foot next summer and enter the Wilderness area for a multi-day trip. Then further east to the Cheeseman Reservoir for a small hike. Then over to Deckers, Woodland Park and home. Great day and nice to know the FJ has no issues in the dirt.

This is La Salle pass. Somehow has stolen all the signs! But the road that heads east and up Badger Mountain starts here. Only saw 2 quads all the way to the top of the mountain which is about 4.5 miles each way.
