Pikes Peak Snowshoeing - February 3, 2007 : Tom in the purple jacket. Bob Broeking in the blue Marmot. Bob's son Ben in the black jacket. Bob's friend Mike in the camo. A 2.5 hour snowshoe and lunch hike at 12,000' up on the Pikes Peak Highway beginning at Glen Cove. Windy and fun.

Signal Butte - October 13, 2007 : Another easy hike with Bob. It took longer to drive to the trailhead than it did to reach the summit! We decided to go up via some boulder scrambling from the SE face. Easy, but steep. Came back down the easy trail that goes off the NE corner of the summit. Perhaps 500' elevation gain. Tom

Dome Rock - 11-17-07 : A little 9 mile RT hikes into the wilderness area just south of Mueller State Park south of Divide, CO. The goal today was to hike out to Dome Rock and then up to the top. The hike was mostly along a hiker's trail that ran to the right side of the creek. Tough to hike for me as it was narrow and in many places footing was critical as you could fall 50'+ into the creek below. Took about 2 hours to get the base of Dome Rock. The "ascent" of the rock was a little hairy as there was no easy way up and we had not brought a rope. My hiking partner Bob has written a nice trip report which can be found here: http://whitespider.broeking.com/domerock2007.htm. All in all a nice day but I don't think I'll hike this trail again.
